33 weeks and counting...

Not a whole lot to report this time around. We had our 33 week appointment on Friday. Everything looks good - Mommy even gained a whole pound! Woo-hoo! (Side note: I had on Ugg-like boots and refused to take them off for fear of getting in trouble for losing weight again. We weighed them and they are 2.5 lbs. You do the math. It tricked the doctor though :) ) Baby Russell is very fond of kicking me in the ribs on my right side. Just like her big sister already! Since I obviously carry babies long, and not out, there's not a whole lot of room for their little limbs to go - other than right into my ribs. It makes sitting interesting. We bought some diapers last night...and some new nipples for our bottles. Kinda makes it seem a little more real. Baby Russell even got her first Christmas present from GG. Lots of cute little sleep 'n' play outfits for the first few months. Thanks GG! You really are the best GG ever!

Speaking of Christmas, glad it's over. Although Maura was absolutely priceless this year! Of course, she's as spoiled as ever, but her reactions to her gifts made it all worth it! All she wanted was a Dora kitchen this year. Whenever you asked her, that's what she would tell you. The Dora kitchen is actually a little too little for her age, so Punkin and Papa Fish got her the Little Tykes Interactive Kitchen. She HUGGED the box when she opened it. Seriously! She's also in LOVE with her camera that she got from Tutu and Papa Bert. She's gotten several LOVELY pics of everyone she loves (read: sides of faces, backends, ears...) Luckily she's also figured out how to delete the pics, so we are not going to be blackmailed later! Our favorite family gift is a toss-up between the fireplace (for those of you who have spent time in our living room in the winter, you understand) and the family membership to Brookfield Zoo...both awesome! Tutu and Papa Bert ROCK!

Speaking of that side of the family...Aunt Tara made it home from France, despite the Air France pilot strike. She was home in time for Christmas. We missed her. AND THEN...her boyfriend officially became her fiance on the 29th!!! (Like we didn't see THAT coming!) Cody popped the question with his grandma's engagement ring. How sweet. I don't think Dad has stopped crying yet. Welcome to the family Cody! They don't plan on getting married for awhile...at least until they're settled into their law school routine. Wow - little Tara is engaged. Let's take a minute to let that sink in.

Until next time - take care! Have a safe and happy New Year!
